Located inside Jose's Closet service center, Emma's Eats provides food for the families of foster, kinship, and adopted children.
There are 15,000-20,000 children/youth in foster care in Arizona every year. We support the families that support these vulnerable young people. Foster children may arrive at a new home with nothing but the clothes on their backs. This can be traumatic to the children, and presents a challenge to foster families, who need to quickly acquire the items these children and youth need.
We work with local groceries stores and food rescue organizations to supply our shelves, refrigerators, and freezers.
We provide support to the entire family, not just the child in foster care. We feel the best way to support the children who need our help is by supporting the needs of the whole family.
At risk children may be in the foster care system, placed with relatives (kinship care), or adopted (frequently by their foster families). Emma's Eats is available to all foster, kinship, & adoptive families who care for these special children.
There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.

What literally started in a closet in her home, then grew to fill the garage, then a storage unit, then TWO storage units, then into 2 consecutive empty elementary schools in Apache Junction, and finally....this year, into its current space of 10,000 sq ft!!! Needless to say, Jose's legacy is going strong and thousands of children have been helped over the years because of this beautiful child!
Wendy and her family have worked tirelessly to support the foster/adoptive/kinship families of Arizona by providing much needed items to help children and families thrive.
Wendy is also founder and director of Emma's Eats, a non-profit food bank serving the foster/adoptive/kinship community, honoring her daughter, Emma, who passed away at the age of 9.
